A warm breeze blew over the pack's homeland. It was a clear indication that Summer was finally arriving. The Winter had been harsh on Vögel, being the one to travel the lands and get little food along with it. Prey was scarce for longer than usual this year but the tall male was finally starting to enjoy his job again. After all, being a messenger didn't seem like a chore for Vögel. It was a good opportunity to take in nature and her beauty. Although he had to be quick every minute of the day, he still managed to find peace when he traveled.

The green grass had a sloshy, muddy base beneath it. The snow melted away and the colors of Mother Earth were sprouting everywhere. Vögel was given the mission to find the other pack, that of Xerxes. Cinna wanted to know how much the pack has grown over the Winter, and to deliver a secret message. This message was written down and sealed, so even Vögel didn't know it. He didn't mind, though. It was such a nice day to be wandering around (as he didn't know exactly where this pack was) that the importance of the job didn't seem to bother him in the least.

With a smile across his long muzzle, Vögel trotted around the pack saying goodbye to his friends, along with some Soturies he barely knew. He walked as if he had an arrogance about him, but in reality he was just happy to be alive. Some glowered at him, others smiled back. Some were just confused. He got to one Soturie in particular, bowed his head and said "Off to meet Xerxes, see ya later!"

Eleadora finished fitting her hammer into her harness, and looked up as Vogel came up to her. The fae let out a little chuckle at the male, and she said, "You're not going alone, mister." Ele stood to her feet and wagged her short tail a bit, saying bluntly, "Uncle has ordered me to go with you. Something about giving you aid blahblahblah, I didn't pay to much attention."

Giving a slight shrug of her shoulders, Ele turned on her paws and padded at the ground a little, wanting to be off. "This is gonna be exciting!" Even though Ele was fully grown, she had yet to settle down and get her head out of the clouds. In a lot of ways, she was still like an excited apprentice.

Vögel was just about to finish his smiling goodbye and walk away when he was taken by surprise at the girl's response. He jerked his head back over his shoulder with an eagerly curious and confused look. He gave her a little chuckle when she explained. His face looked like he was saying 'You're joking! I hope...' But he was more polite than that for the most part "Um, I'm sorry, but how are you supposed to aid me when you don't even know... well, what you need to aid me from?" He was shocked even more at the fact she didn't pay attention to direct order...

Apparently, Vögel had no say. She invited herself on his journey and got herself all worked up for it. "You're coming with me, for sure, then? I understand you are a High Warrior, uh, but this is dangerous... I mean, we could get lost. I've never been to the other pack..." he tried to make up any excuse he could. Not that he didn't want her with him, but he honestly didn't think she's be able to take the trip. This 'exciting' idea she had of it wouldn't last long.

"Pssh!" Ele retorted, rolling her eyes a bit. "I'm Eleadora, daughter of Haymitch! I was born with the Felidae on my doorstep. There's nothing I can't handle!" There was an extremely confident air about the fae, amidst her excitement. No matter what Vogel said, he wouldn't deter her. She flicked her ears at him, and looked at him with her bright blue eyes. what she said next had a tone of seriousness she had yet to show to the male, "I may seem like an over excited pup, but I do know the dangers that lay ahead of us on this. I do not make light of them to just brush them off." With her peace said, Ele smiled widely at Vogel, waiting for them to be off.

((Sorry I haven't replied for a while! RL has cleared up a bit and the stress level could go back to normal. I plan to be active in RPs again))

Vögel gave a sigh of defeat. She was clearly coming with him, and had orders to do so. He wasn't getting rid of this little ball of excitement. He smiled at her, nonetheless, and slightly bowed his head to her. "Well, your highness, after me!" He said half-jokingly and trotted a little ways ahead. "You know where this other pack is, then, I assume? Maybe you'll be of some use, you know, if the butterflies don't distract you!" Vögel had a tone to him that let everyone he ever spoke to know when he was joking. He was. Vögel was a jokester. After going through what he did, he had no choice but to mess around to be happy. "Hey, too many Soturies are too damn serious! You seem like the kind of girl who can take a joke." He smiled into the open air, not making eye contact with Ele. "Maybe this will be a fun journey, Miss Eleandora".

Vögel started towards the boarder of the territory, glancing at the fae, who was much shorter than him (though most Sots were, with the horns and all) to ensure she was still caught up with him. Until he was sure about how she would handle the trip, Vögel took on the role as secret baby-sitter until he knew she was mature enough. He wouldn't let anything happen to her, No matter how unsure of her he was.
