A warm breeze blew over the pack's homeland. It was a clear indication that Summer was finally arriving. The Winter had been harsh on Vögel, being the one to travel the lands and get little food along with it. Prey was scarce for longer than usual this year but the tall male was finally starting to enjoy his job again. After all, being a messenger didn't seem like a chore for Vögel. It was a good opportunity to take in nature and her beauty. Although he had to be quick every minute of the day, he still managed to find peace when he traveled.
The green grass had a sloshy, muddy base beneath it. The snow melted away and the colors of Mother Earth were sprouting everywhere. Vögel was given the mission to find the other pack, that of Xerxes. Cinna wanted to know how much the pack has grown over the Winter, and to deliver a secret message. This message was written down and sealed, so even Vögel didn't know it. He didn't mind, though. It was such a nice day to be wandering around (as he didn't know exactly where this pack was) that the importance of the job didn't seem to bother him in the least.
With a smile across his long muzzle, Vögel trotted around the pack saying goodbye to his friends, along with some Soturies he barely knew. He walked as if he had an arrogance about him, but in reality he was just happy to be alive. Some glowered at him, others smiled back. Some were just confused. He got to one Soturie in particular, bowed his head and said "Off to meet Xerxes, see ya later!"
